Based in the South Hams, I provide wealth management advice to clients in Devon and Cornwall, and more widely throughout the South West of England as well as further afield across the UK.
I have worked in the financial services industry for the last 20 years having initially spent 10 years with a top 4 accountancy practice and 5 years running my own business. I have held senior positions within the industry, more recently as a regional head of office for a major investment management company where part of my remit was to help develop the national financial planning division. I have now established strong working relationships with other professionals and clients across the country, in part due to the insight and understanding I have for their specific financial requirements – whether these are personal or corporate.
My corporate clients benefit from my business experiences supplemented by a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and covers the broad spectrum of financial planning which will help you and your business to:
- Grow wealth, specifically through the St. James's Place distinctive approach to investment management;
- Preserve assets for long-term financial security;
- Adequately protect assets from potential threats;
- Effectively manage capital and borrowings.
I am pleased to announce that I have now been appointed as an Affiliate of STEP. STEP is the global association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP members help families plan for their futures, from drafting a will to advising on issues concerning international families, protection of the vulnerable, family businesses and philanthropic giving.
I have also recently been awarded the title of Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
As a Chartered Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager I am committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on my personal development. This, along with the pride and dedication I place on developing solid personal relationships with my clients, ensures that am I able offer a rounded, professional and principled service.
Fundamentally I see my approach as one of problem-solving for you individually, for your family or indeed for your business - rather than product-selling. As a result, my clients can expect to receive the most comprehensive and appropriate advice at all times.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my black Labrador Toby, playing golf and when time and weather allows out on the water.
